About the Author

Kelsea Lee is a lifelong advocate and creative spirit whose work has always centered on communication, connection, and compassion. Healing Feathers is her debut published book—born from nearly two decades of experience supporting children and families across educational and therapeutic settings.

Her journey began as an American Sign Language interpreter, where she witnessed firsthand how what we say, what we mean, and what others hear can be vastly different. That front-row seat to the nuance of communication sparked a passion for helping others feel truly seen and heard—especially children navigating trauma or big transitions.

With a Bachelor of Arts in American Sign Language and a minor in Psychology, Kelsea went on to earn a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry and a Master of Education in Assistive Technology. Her work eventually expanded into the field of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), where as an ATP, she continues to support individuals with diverse communication needs.

Through her experience working with children in a variety of settings, Kelsea has seen how critical it is to help children rediscover their worth, rebuild trust, and communicate their boundaries after trauma. Through Healing Feathers, she weaves together her faith, professional insight, and lived conviction to offer a gentle, hope-filled narrative for children—and for the adults who walk beside them.

Her passion is to protect, care, teach, empower, and ultimately witness those who once limped begin to soar beyond what they ever believed possible.

The views expressed in Healing Feathers and its companion journal are personal reflections and storytelling tools—not a substitute for professional or clinical care.
